Michelle Wisenbaugh presented a check to Greater Flint Hockey Association. This represents Crystal Fieldhouse donation to GFHA 2022/23 fall/winter season for 6U, 8U, 10U and Learn to play programs.

GFHA 2022/23 programs had three travel teams, split season team, 16U Midget team, three 14U Bantam teams, two 12U Peewee teams, three 10u squirt teams, four 8U Mites teams, 6U and Learn to play, goalie clinics, sled hockey for free, two try hockey for free days and a girls try hockey for free day, plus hosted Burton Blizzard Tournament.

Michelle thanked Jeff Barat, Joe Hosler, Suzy Hosler Tom Hutchings for countless donated hours growing the GFHA program since we opened in 2014. Also thanks to Terese Tucker GFHA board member, the discounted ice has allowed even more new kids into the GFHA Raiders program.

February 4, 2023 plungers plunged into Lake Fenton.  This was a fundraiser to support the athletes of Special Olympics Michigan.   Crystal Fieldhouse was happy to help raise money by offering to our customers an opportunity to donate and put their names on these cute Polar bears and hang in our bar/concession area. You can still donate at Crystal Fieldhouse until March 5th.  Then Crystal Fieldhouse will present a check to Special Olympics Michigan.

VICTOR “VIC” POSA
 
Victor “Vic” Posa, hails from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and resides in Atlas Township, Mi. He is the founder of Rollergard LLC. a skate guard company based in Saginaw, MI. Vic has been married to Beth for 33years and has 4 lovely children.
 
Vic was drafted by and played for the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL. Following his time in the National Hockey League (NHL), he spent time playing in the AHL, IHL, CHL, ECHL, and European Leagues. After retiring from his playing career, he was able to stay in the game by coaching in the ECHL, SHL, NAHL, RHL, and for Little Caesars AAA Hockey Club where his team went on to win State/National Championships.
 
Vic took his multiple years of experience playing, coaching, and evaluating the athletic ability of amateur and professional athletes and returned to the NHL to become an Amateur Scout for the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes and the Montreal Canadiens for the next decade.
 
Although he enjoys the day-to-day operations of an international company, he is excited to bring his extensive hockey experience, both on and off the ice, to Crystal Fieldhouse as the Director of Hockey Operations

Please take a few minutes to watch this video.   Small positive changes can make a difference.   I'm sure you've heard this before, but here we are again... Every sport it's getting harder and harder to fill jobs of officials.  Mistreatment of officials have become normalized. You can see abuse to officials on social media or even when your at a game and seen it yourself.  Consequences: now a massive shortage and now its leading into games being canceled.   No officials to hire means no games on the schedule.
