Girl's Try Hockey For Free Day Coming to Crystal Fieldhouse Oct. 8, 2016
Burton, Michigan-invites young lady's of all ages and ability to Crystal Fieldhouse on Saturday, Oct.8th for a all girls Try Hockey for Free clinic as part of the sixth annual IIHF Girls’ Hockey Weekend October 8-9, 2016. Starting at 11:00 A.M.. local girls of all ages and abilities are encouraged to experience ice hockey for the first time and learn the basic skills like skating, shooting and stick handling, The Greater Flint Hockey Association and Crystal Fieldhouse will be supplying the coach's, skates, all equipment, and FREE ice time necessary to ensure a safe and fun environment for the young ladies of our community.
“We look forward to welcoming families to Crystal Fieldhouse to try our great sport of ice hockey” said Jeffrey Barat. “Our goal is for these families to enjoy watching their girls learn new skills with big smiles on their faces.”
USA Hockey's Try Hockey program, with the support of the IIHF, among others, is designed to provide youth hockey associations a national platform to introduce girls to the sport of hockey. In addition of Try Hockey For Free Days. USA Hockey has close to 300 locations offering this unique opportunity to girls nationwide.
