With social media and the internet being a large part of our society. I decided to blog about how many hits on our website and how many followers we have on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and then it will be fun to look back in the year 2016 to see where we are at. So here we go:
This is what our home page of our website looks like on January 4th 2015. We had 8,000 hits on our website last month. Pretty good since we are still working on many sites where it lists Ice Mountain instead of Crystal Fieldhouse. The building was Ice Mountain after closing in 2012. Crystal Fieldhouse grand opening was July 2015. We are also working on incorrect information on the internet where it lists the Avalance Drive instead of Daly Farms Drive. Whats funny is Avalance Drive doesn't even exist, this road has always been called Daly Farms Drive. Our most popular page on our website is Open Skating, then Frozen Ice Skating Weekend, then Stick n' puck and then drop-in-hockey.
The biggest thing in social media for me was Facebook to get the word out about Crystal Fieldhouse. I was able to get Facebook on our website and those who do not have Facebook can read all our posts on Facebook. I love Facebook because I can talk about upcoming events and post pictures of events as they happen at Crystal Fieldhouse, and I am not limited on the amount of words I can type. We posted many events in 2014. Our Grand Opening, Try Hockey for FREE Day, Halloween Ice Skating, Frozen Ice Skating Weekend to see Elsa & Olaf, all the University of Michigan Flint Mens Hockey games. Many events as they happened as in Elite Skating Academy classes, Greater Flint Hockey Association youth Hockey classes, University of Flint Womens Hockey games, Open Skating, Drop-in Hockey, Stick n' Puck, and many Birthday Parties, School Field Trips, and Group Skating. 567 likes 791 visits

My IPhone 5S has Instagram. My daughter who is 15 has 1500 followers on Instagram and Crystal Fieldhouse has 40 followers. Our community if filled with teens who take an extreme amount of selfies.
This will be fun to see how many Followers we get in 2015 on Twitter.
